ZSX 3rd Quarter 2009 Newsletter

ZSX Medical Quarterly Newsletter
September 2009

Welcome to the ZSX Medical newsletter for the third quarter of 2009. In this newsletter, we will briefly outline who we are and what we have accomplished in the last three months.

Who We Are
For those who are new to our company, ZSX is short for "Zip-Stitch® Surgical Access and Closure Systems." The name Zip-Stitch® conveys both the ease of use and the speed of closure of the product we are developing for cesarean delivery; but ZSX Medical is doing far more than developing a product. Our mission is to reinvent uterine closure in cesarean delivery.

Recent News
1. ZSX Medical has been founded as its own legal entity, an independent limited liability company, doing business in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Feta Med, Inc., remains strategically and financially involved in ZSX's mission as primary investor. We wish to thank Dave Antzis and his team at Saul Ewing for coordinating this process.

2. Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeast Pennsylvania awarded ZSX Medical a $15,000 grant to conduct research in support of our product development. This research is being conducted through Dr. Mark Nicosia, the chair of the mechanical engineering department at Widener University. Dr. Nicosia is an expert in soft tissue biomechanics and finite element modeling.

3. ZSX Medical has begun manufacture of the first Zip-Stitch® prototypes. These prototypes will be used to generate in vitro proof-of-concept. ZSX is pleased to partner with two highly-qualified manufacturing groups with track records of success in manufacturing medical devices for commercial success. ZSX Medical anticipates demonstrating proof-of-concept with these prototypes during the first quarter of 2010.

4. ZSX Medical will be presenting at the Mid-Atlantic Diamond Ventures' Early Fall Venture Forum on Friday, September 25, 2009, at the Merion Cricket Club. Those interested in more information, please contact us or go here.
